Our family hosted Thanksgiving yesterday. Kevin and I went into it beyond prepared. I had the tables set and ready two days previous:

We had all of our desserts (cranberry swirl cheesecake, pumpkin creme
brulee, and pecan pie bars) baked the day before. We also spent part of the day before prepping food so that the day of would be a piece of cake. On Wednesday night we went as far as laying it all out in a spreadsheet so that nothing overlapped and so that we were organized and on time with everything. We had a long to-do list. Our menu was turkey (fried of course!), ham, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, homemade mac-n-cheese, squash casserole, gravy, and mushroom rice. It was smooth sailing right up until everyone was due to arrive. We lost our groove for the last hour or so but managed to have dinner on the table within 15 minutes of our goal time. Go us! I was so busy with dinner that I didn't take any pictures of the food. Bummer. There are a few people pictures from the day:

I am so thankful that we were able to spend the holiday with the Heller and Ham families. I'm beyond grateful for my wonderful family and the best friends. Lastly, I am thankful that I resisted the urge to sell my daughter on the black market as a result of her rotten behavior. How bad was it? So bad that I am too
embarrassed to write about it.
Oh, and
GOOOOOOO SAINTS!
You can't leave me hanging like that!! What did she do that was so awful?? Come on, you know you'll have to share when she's 16 and you catch her w/a boy in her room...so why stop now? :) I'm dying to know what could be so embarrassing from a 7 year old, please prepare me!!
