Peace Dude

I'm not a huge fan of the style that the kids are into right now. Everything is neon, glittery, and covered in peace signs. Reese paired her toothfairy money with a few more dollars that she'd been saving up and decided that she wanted to spend it on an outfit she would pick out all on her own. This is what we came home with: Don't get me wrong....I do think she looks cute, but I think she makes the outfit cute and not the other way around. I have to allow her a bit of creative freedom and happily bit my tongue when she picked it out and proudly made her purchase at the counter. It has been really hot and dry here lately. Today we finally got a tiny bit of rain. We decided to take advantage and went out into the front yard to enjoy the rainfall.
I loved seeing how excited they got running around together getting soaked. I cherish these simple moments.

  1. Yay! She's a hippie! hahahaha...
I totally agree with you though, Reese is rocking that outfit because it's Reese. So amazed at how big Talan is too...
BTW, love the new blog layout. Will be doing upgrades to my domain soon too. Love and Miss you lady Branton!

  2. Hi Stacie! Thanks for commenting on my poor, abandoned blog, it a)motivated me to update it and b)alerted me to the fact that you, too, have a blog, and it is adorable!

Reese is gorgeous and if you traded the pink for purple I would have killed for that outfit at her age. :) Maybe that's why I'm obsessed with earth tones as an adult, I overdosed on bling as a child.

And I hadn't even seen pics of Talan yet, those are some precious little Brantons! So happy for you guys.

  3. Love your fresh new look on the blog!
I sure hope the 80's fashion has phased out by the time Maitlen is picking out her own clothes. I know the outfit is obnoxious to you, but complete with the matching scarf and all? This girl has got style!
