Pie Got Married

My cousin, Pie, got married to the love of her life, Shad, last month. My Aunt Jill and Uncle David didn't really name her Pie. Her name is Amanda but pretty much from birth she's been known as Pie. My Aunt Jill has a way with nicknames. Mine? Porkchop (because the first time she saw me as a baby she said I looked like a little porkchop). Reese became Lambchop and Talan is T-bone. Speaking of Lambchop and T-bone....Pie asked the both of them to be in her wedding. The weekend was a blast. We started the celebration with an 80's themed surprise shower for Pie & Shad. Reese loved dressing up. She also loved being in control of the karaoke mic. I wish I had a photo of my crazy parents in their outfits. Think Flashdance & Richard Simmons. Yep, they went there. On Friday Reese and I were invited to the bridesmaids luncheon. It was such a fun afternoon! We went to a place called Corks & Canvas. We started out with a blank canvas and with the help of an instructor who took us step-by-step in the process we ended up with this: It was so awesome to see each person's interpretation. Mine is on the left, Reese's on the right. Saturday was the big day. The kids looked so cute! And Pie? Stunning. I was a little nervous about Talan and what he'd do (or not do for that matter) when it came time to walk down the aisle. I have to say, I was very impressed at how well both kids did.
