Happy Birthday Reese!

It's tradition for us to have the kitchen table decorated and ready for the kids when they wake up in the morning. Even so, Reese was sure to remind us the night before. "Don't forget to put out balloons and stuff because you did it on Talan's birthday so make it fair". Silly girl.

She woke up bright and early this morning and very anxious to get downstairs to start her day. 

It didn't take long before she was ripping into the stack of cards and gifts.

After breakfast we made our way down to the basement to watch videos and photo slideshows from her first year of life.  Talan took advantage of the fact that we were preoccupied and decided to paint his lips with a blue marker.  Awesome. 

Reese loooooves to shop so we spent the morning at the mall.  She had a couple of gift certificates and had a blast deciding how to use them.  We had a lunch together and then she was off to the skating rink.  She and her friend were dropped off at our house after skating and at 6 o'clock a babysitter came to watch Talan so that we could go and see a movie together. 

Her last birthday request was a warm bubble bath so that's how she ended the first day of her 7th year.

I'm proud beyond words of my darling little girl.  Watching the videos today was such an emotional experience.  I remember each moment as if it were yesterday.  It's so hard to believe that seven years have passed.  Thank God for blessing us with such a spunky, bright, loving, tender, beautiful little being.  We love you Reese!
