This has been the never ending winter. Seriously. I know it's only February but I'm so over it. It's still snowing! This is our house* this afternoon after yet another dusting this morning:
Snow, Snow, go away! It's been dreary like rainy season in Seattle only colder and with loads of snow. No likey. This is our third winter here in Illinois. In the midst of the previous two, I was able to sneak off to Florida for a sunshine & beach fix at about this point in the season. This year, however, with Reese in school we are stuck here. We will have to travel with the masses when we drive over for a visit during her spring break.
I feel bad about the lack of Talan updates but in all honesty, not a whole lot has changed. He has two new teeth making it 8 all together. I had him back at the doctor's office yesterday (it's been weekly since the new year!) with yet another diaper rash that won't go away so we're trying two new precrips. He's still not standing on his own and nowhere near walking. Still saying "dada" when I ask him to say "mama". And outside of pooping and screaming he pretty much does nothing but this:
So there you have it. Nothing exciting. Just trying to get through another week and praying for sunshine!
*We are not ghetto, I promise. My awesome Father-in-law came into town and helped us get started with our trim painting project but the weather wasn't cooperating so he was only able to finish the garage and front door (thank you, Dad!). We're going to finish painting in the spring....the two toned look is non-intentional. And yes, the Saints flag is still flying. As Eric said, it'll probably rot off of the pole before I take it down.
