My Baby Daddy

My kids are so lucky that I fell in love with their daddy 20 years ago and stalked him worked so hard at making him love me back. I got the world's best husband out of the deal and they got the best father. Today we took some time to remind him just how much we love and appreciate him. My plan was to get up, go to church, and then out to breakfast. Kevin has been working late into the night most of the week so rather than wake him and drag him out of the house first thing in the morning (our window before Talan is in need of a morning nap is pretty small) I decided to let him sleep-in. Sleep is sometimes the biggest gift of all as a parent. When he rolled out of bed, I fixed him a special breakfast. I have to say, it was pretty fantastic. On par with anything we would have ordered out! You're looking at a potato & onion cake topped with ham, cheddar, a fried egg, green onions, & salsa. The writing is a chipotle sour cream. So good! After breakfast we went to a place called Color Me Mine to paint our own pottery.
I wasn't sure how it would go over but it was definitely a success! We had a blast. The only mishap was the paint that Talan decided to eat. Thank God it was non-toxic. Afterwards we walked over to a restaurant with outdoor seating and had some lunch.
I'm guessing the ketchup (that he practically drank) tastes a little better than the paint. Just a guess.
I know the kids had a great day.....
And I hope that my amazing, fantastic, wonderful, loving, caring, super handsome husband did too. I love you babe!
And to my Daddy and Dad-in-law, Happy Father's Day! Hope you both enjoyed your day. Wish we could be there with you but we're so glad that we don't have to wait long before we can make up for that. See you both very soon! Love you!!!
