Kevin's parents left town this morning. Originally they were going to stay through the end of the week but I think we wore them out. It couldn't possibly be because we spent a few nights like this:
Reese & her Grandma were practically connected at the hip all week long. They read together, played together, and had lunch together:
We did give them a get-out-of-the-nut-house-for-a-day pass on Monday. They went into downtown Chicago early that morning to walk Michigan Avenue and to have lunch. I was so used to having them here to help entertain the kids that I ran short on ideas.
Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do people. Remind me again why I wasted my money on Six Flags when I could have just spun them in Kevin's office chair all day. I kid (kinda).
It was hard to see Kevin's parents off this morning but knowing that we'll see them again in less than two weeks helps. We are so ready for our vacay. We all have a serious case of cabin fever (and now you can let out that big, resounding "DOY!" after having watched what our playtime has come to...spinning my poor kids in a chair). It's just too bad that I have to brave the first half of our trip without Kevin. Boo! You know what they say about beggars. I won't complain.
Gma & Gdad, thanks for a great visit! I hope you're able to recover quickly.
OMG the video of Kevin's parents is priceless! I miss your laugh!
