Credit Where Credit Is Due

Look how smart my hubs looks in his professional headshot.  What a man.  Speaking of both smart and professional.....although we have struggled through these last three years, the hard work and perseverance is paying off.  I'm proud to say that Kevin was recognized by his company for being one of the top billers of 2010.  More specifically, he was 13th out of more than 100.  This qualified him for the annual Recognition Conference which takes place over three days in Maui.  In addition, he was selected to be part of a leadership conference, also in Maui, three days previous to the recognition conference.  They are paying for airfare and accommodations.....for both of us!  We've decided to extend the trip another three days to have some time just for ourselves.  To say that I can't wait has to be the understatement of the century.  Have I mentioned that it snowed yesterday?  Seriously.  In need of some sun and some fun.

I can't even count the number of times that we have questioned our decision to move here, his career change, and the countless decisions that followed.  But I truly feel like it was all for the best and the sacrifices we've both made and the incredibly hard work (including many all-nighters) that Kevin has put in is finally beginning to pay off.  The future is bright.  And hopefully the sun in Maui is, too.  We leave three weeks from today.  Fly time, fly.
