Warrior Dash

Yesterday was one of the most FUN days I've ever had.  Kevin and I participated in the Warrior Dash.  It's a 5K with 12 obsticles along the way.  We ran it with four friends.  I designed a fun shirt and had them printed locally for all of us to race in.  We all named ourselves.  Kevin and I were "P. Dirty" and "Mudonna". 

A huge thank you to Kevin's parents who stayed home with the kids so that we could go.

We got to the grounds and were so anxious and excited!

There were some interesting characters there (to say the least!).

The race was a blast!  The first part was the hardest only because it was all running, some of it through the woods and mud.  After the first mile and a half we really started hitting the obstacles.  We crawled over cars, ran through tires, climbed ropes, slid down poles, etc.  It was seriously just SO MUCH FUN!  Kevin and I charged through most of it but wanted to wait on the rest of our group so we ended up standing around quite a bit.  When we got to the end our friend, Jean, was there and snapped photos of our finish.

They had a big water truck at the end to spray us off but I didn't have much luck.  I was still super muddy.

Not only did we have a great time, but at the end you're rewarded with a t-shirt, a medal, a viking hat.....and an ice cold beer.

 

That's my kind of race!  We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to doing it all over again next year.
