Reese's birthday is next weekend. She wanted to do a sleepover but I'm nowhere near brave enough to have a bunch of 6 year old girls spend the night so instead we're going to do a "mock sleepover". I've had so much fun planning it with her. We sent out invitations to 14 girls (plus two 5th graders who are coming to help me out) last week and so far all but two have called to say that they are coming. I can't even begin to imagine how loud our house will be with that many 6(ish) year old girls running around.
I found some super cute invites online and decided to use the idea to make my own for her. I love the way they turned out:

(Had to remove the address & phone number on account of random blog stalkarazzi)
I also found some adorable cupcakes online so this weekend Reese and I did a trial round with them:

For the real thing I'm going to add little teddy graham crackers to each one. I'm also going to try to keep them in the party color scheme: hot pink, lime green, and purple. Although I spent most of the weekend running party errands I still have a long way to go before Saturday. I'm really excited for Reese. Birthdays are a big deal in our family so I want to make sure it's a party that she'll always remember.
