For Mother's Day we got my Mom a gift certificate to the local pottery shop so that she and the kids could go and make something for them to bring back to Tennessee. She did make something for herself but also had Reese make me this beautiful platter and gave it to me on my birthday. That's who she is....always thinking about others even when I tried to do something just for her.
They left town early morning and we spent the day relaxing. That night Kevin made me an amazing dinner of all of my favorites; shrimp, scallops, lobster, and grilled vegetables. It was so delicious! The picture doesn't do it justice.
The following night we had some friends over for dinner. The kids did a big "show" for us. They escorted us downstairs one by one. They had a special chair for me and even made me a birthday hat. It was adorable.
Here's to being 35 years young! Yes, I said young. I may not look it but I really don't feel a day over 25. Honestly. Thanks for all of the warm wishes and here's to another year ahead. I'm hoping for one even more fabulous than the last.
