Halloween Dinner Club is one of my favorite nights of the year. The same couple hosts every year so it's up to them to come up with a theme. We had "dead celebrity" the first year and "famous Chicago personality" last year. This year the invitation said to come as something "dark or a creature of the night".
Carole & Andy had a different interpretation of "dark" and came as a priest and school girl. We also had the hosts, Mark & Kristy, as creatures of the night, Jen & Gary were Batman and Batgirl, Dave & Jean were the Mad Hatter and Catwoman, and Jessica & Craig were vampires. I stole the idea my brother gave to my Mom and went as Black Swan and Kevin was The Joker.
Kevin really sold his character well. He was super scary! We kept the kids in our room while we were getting ready and had to show them his face at every stage of the make-up going on. Creepy!
The table set up and decorations were stellar, per usual.
It worked out well that Batman was there. I love this picture!
And the menu? Amazing. We had a meatball appetizer, French onion soup, a bleu cheese wedge salad, and a pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. The main course was fondue. They marinated chicken, steak, and shrimp and filled three fondue pots full of oil for cooking. On the side they made four dipping sauces. It was so much fun and so delicious! We're on hiatus until after the holidays. I'll be anxiously awaiting our next dinner club.

Seriously, the Brantons blew away the competition. Your costumes were the best!
