Saturday in the Sun

What a beautiful weekend!  It's not often that you'll find us in shorts in October here in the Midwest.  We were lucky enough to have a full week of weather in the 70's coupled with bright blue skies and the sun shining bright.  On Saturday we started our day with a football game. 

Just two weeks ago we were in long sleeves and long pants at the game.  Speaking of, I snapped a picture of Talan at that game and didn't have a chance to share it. 

We wanted to do something fun outdoors on Saturday afternoon so we decided to check out a local park, Cantigny, that we hadn't been to yet.  I went with low expectations but we were so pleasantly surprised.  There were gardens to walk through, tanks to climb on, and a super impressive museum.  We had such a great time.

The leaves are all changing color which makes for such a gorgeous backdrop.  Fall is definitely in the air but we were so grateful for a warm, bright week.
