Rain On Our Parade

Shame on you Mother Nature! You should know better than to act up on the 4th of July. In fact, I can't even remember a 4th in my past when the weather has kept us from holiday festivities. We were planning to go to the Rib Fest, a big outdoor food & music festival, but rain kept us indoors all day. Both kids ended up sleeping most of the day away, Kevin worked, and I was just plain lazy. Lame-o. Reese was happy to wear her patriotic dress today - even if it was just around the house. I put Talan in the only red, white, and blue thing I could find which happened to be one of Reese's old onesies. Kevin came around the corner after I dressed him and we realized that he, too, was wearing his Dead shirt. Déjà vu! Check it out: In this picture Talan is 5 months old. Reese, on the right, is 13 months!!! Tal is a moose compared to her!!! Here are a couple more shots from today.

Kevin has to hit the road tomorrow for a site visit in Michigan so the kids and I will probably be stuck in the house again. I guess the rest will do us good being that we're off to Florida next week. If you're reading, hope your 4th was happy & safe. Thanks for reading.
