Dinner Club this month was a blast! The hosts requested that we come dressed as a celebrity who is no longer living. My first thought was Marilyn Monroe but because it came to me so quickly I just knew that someone else would think along the same lines. I worked so hard to come up with an idea for us and we finally settled on Lucy & Desi. Rather than buy the in-store version I went to thrift stores and shopped for my outfit (and some of Kevin's) and made my own apron. I thought it turned out pretty good! Here we are:
Wouldn't you know it....out of 5 couples, 2 of us came dressed alike! There was another Lucy & Desi!!!! I couldn't believe it. Oh, and no Marilyn Monroe. Costumes aside, dinner was
FANtastic! So
delish. We all had to rename our courses to have them fit with the theme. Here is the menu:

Side Dishes ~ Zucchini & Summer Squash Gossip Gratin and Emmy Winning Three Cheese Pasta Bake
Dessert ~ Red Carpet Pumpkin Ice Cream Torte
Kevin & I brought the salad and the dessert. The dessert recipe came from this month's Cooking Light. I
highly recommend it! It was
sooooooooooo tasty! We're hosting next time so I'm already brainstorming. I look so forward to it every month.
