Soccer Ballerina

Reese had her first soccer practice today. Kevin was supposed to be the assistant coach but it was a bit disorganized so instead he got to be a spectator. She was very excited to get out on the field! They started with some simple drills.

Kevin said that she did a great job and is dribbling really well. She made sure to run slow so that she could keep control of the ball.

That said, she doesn't really have an aggressive bone in her body so at scrimmage time, she was a little bit hesitant. The game started and when the ball came towards her everyone ran in her direction. She wasn't really having that and took cover rather than getting into the game. Reminds me of someone.....and it ain't her Daddy!

In her defense, this is the very first time she's ever played a contact sport and it was also her very first practice. Who knows? Maybe she'll figure it out and turn into a little soccer star. The important thing is that she had a blast. That and she made her Dad so proud!!!!
