Easter Recap

Easter fell at the end of our Spring Break week. Rather than driving 16 hours straight to make it home we decided to stop in Tennessee on Friday night to spend Saturday and Easter morning. Good choice! Before we left for our trip we took the kids to the mall for the annual Easter Bunny picture. I was hoping to get a good reaction out of Talan (think back to the Santa photo). Instead he was completely unphased. How? I don't know....because the bunny looks pretty creepy in my opinion! Speaking of bunnies, my parents were kind enough to give us the morning to ourselves on Saturday and took the kids to an Easter egg hunt. They said Talan didn't take well to Mr. Bunny this time around so Reese was left to take this photo alone. After a fun morning with Nana & Papa they came home and we dyed and decorated eggs: Talan kept calling the eggs "ball" and only wanted to throw them: The beautiful eggs:

Fortunately, the Easter Bunny heard that we were going to be out of town and dropped off the baskets at my parents' house. Reese set out her basket and wrote him a note before heading to bed: The kids both scored!

They had a little time to dig through the baskets before we were off to church:

We got home, ate a quick (and DELICIOUS) lunch before packing up and driving home. Despite the long drive we had a great Easter Sunday.
