Being Bad is Hard Work

I had to forget what the terrible two stage was like in order to ever have a second child. I was hoping that I would catch a break the second time around (go ahead and laugh). Not so much. While Talan has begun this stage a little later than Reese did, he's doing a great job at making up for it with some serious tantrums. Today I thought I'd take him to the park. It's a beautiful day and we were both happy to get out of the house. Within moments of arriving the arched back, blood curdling screams, and kicking began. I am still not sure what set him off. Maybe I didn't push him high enough on the swing??? Or it could have been that the slide wasn't quite long enough??? What kid throws tantrums over a trip to the park? I'll tell you what kid.....mine. Needless to say, our time at the park was short-lived. With all my might I struggled to get him back in the stroller and we headed home. Apparently all of that 'tude wore him out. When we got back to the house, I walked around the stroller to get him out. He was in a daze: And about 10 seconds later: (notice the death grip on his juice and Cheerios)

  1. So glad you captured that attitude face...I know it wasn't cute and funny while happening, but my God, that's a hilarious photo. And mine still whines at the park and she's almost 4.
