Pickin' Pumpkins Podunk Style

We decided to use what turned out to be a gorgeous Sunday for a trip to the pumpkin farm. We found one close by our house. When we pulled up we were slightly disappointed by what we found. Reese's comment? "This place looks boring"! We assured her that fun is what you make of it and we ended up having a really fantastic afternoon. We started the day with a little picnic in the parking lot. Afterwards, Uncle Josh and Reese decided to climb a big hill to get to the pumpkin shaped haystacks at the top: We love a good photo opp! Here are the little people: And here are the big people: Reese and Talan both loved the mini corn maze:
Here's the whole gang (we were all missing Stephen & Jeff all weekend long). We all wore Halloween shirts (Reese opted for a skirt):
We rarely get a picture with the four of us in it so we took advantage of the opportunity:

Next up it was time to paint a pumpkin:
And last, Reese had her face painted:
We really did have a great time. Today just came way too quickly. I wasn't ready to say goodbye. This visit really did fly by. I can't believe they are already gone. I hope they had as much fun as we did. It felt so good to be together. We spent some time planning for another reunion, this time with everyone present. Hoping and praying it happens soon. Thanks Mom, Dad, and Josh for letting us drag you around and for putting up with all of the chaos. We love you!
