A Spooktacular Week

Our week has been busy, busy, busy. Particularly the end of the week. I feel like I'm just now sitting down for the first time in three days. We've all been very excited about Halloween. The kids were so excited to get cards and festive sunglasses in the mail from Nana & Papa: On Thursday I spent all morning cooking and cleaning in preparation for hosting my neighborhood Bunco. I had to break away that afternoon to sneak off to Reese's school to surprise her. I was the "mystery reader". She was so excited to see that it was me. It was my first time in her classroom this year so it was great to put faces with all of the names that I've heard the past couple of months. We got home and I had a fun snack waiting for the kids: Then it was back to working to get ready for the crazy night. I asked the ladies to come disguised in a wig. It was so much fun! I made a ton of food but these were my favorite....they are sausage balls that I turned into cute little bats (thanks for the idea Mom!): Next up? Halloween parade and party at Reese's school and our annual Dinner Club kick-off. The parade at the school is so much fun. Here is a little clip of Reese: Although it doesn't look like it in this picture, Talan had a great time watching all of the kids walk by in costume: After the parade I stayed to help with the class party: I rushed home afterwards to finish my two dishes for dinner club (post to follow). Crazy busy (but fun filled!) few days.
