My parents and Josh arrived on Wednesday afternoon. I was anxious all day long waiting for them. Seeing Josh get out of the car was very emotional. It's a moment I've been looking forward to for what feels like forever. He looks amazing and was in great spirits. It's hard to believe that he was near death just a few short weeks ago.
Josh's friend from way back (I think early elementary years!), Cris, lives just over 2 hours from here so she planned to drive in on Wednesday evening. It was so nice having her here and seeing Josh so upbeat and happy.
Cris & Josh:
I pulled a Talan and decided to photo bomb the first photo taken of the two of them. Couldn't resist!:
The whole gang:
She left late on Thursday afternoon. You'll see in the above picture that Reese's eyes are swollen. That's because she was hysterical when Cris left. She loved having her here. We spent Friday running around town and then that night Josh, my mom and I snuck off to a movie. Fabulous night!
Saturday was pure chaos. We spent that morning having Halloween photos taken (look for pics in a later post). We had enough time to rush home, scarf down lunch, and change the kids before it was off to a football game. My parents had been so excited to see Reese cheer and she didn't disappoint. Here she is with my good friend Jennifer's daughter, Annika:

And the girls with Coach Georgia:
After the game we ran to the car because we were already running late for Sophie's birthday party. She had the cutest party! It was a dog theme so the food was in cute little bone dishes, the cupcakes were in the shape of a bone, the dip was in a dog bowl, and even the music went along with the theme. Here's the birthday girl in her doggy headband:
