Extreme Room Makeover

My parents came into town last week.  When they left on Saturday, they took the kids with them to Tennessee for a week of  "camp".  They'll be coming back next weekend on Sunday.  You'd think I'd be relaxing and resting up while they're gone but I've never been more busy (or exhausted!). 

Reese has been asking for a "new room" for over a year now.  To be fair, we purchased her bedding when she was two.  She was definitely over the pink and ready to move on to something less "babyish" (as she dubbed it).  I decided that I'd tackle the project while both kids were away and use the opportunity to surprise her when she gets back.  So she has no idea that I've spent the last three days (even today, our anniversary) working my tail off to turn it from babyish to tweenish.   With the exception of a couple small touches, I think I'm finally finished.

Ha!  If she has to wait, you have to wait.  I'll post a clear picture when she gets home and can be the first to see it.  I have a feeling that she'll be pleased.  Hopefully I won't have to do this again for at least another 4-5 years.  *Fingers crossed!*
