Happy Birthday, Dear Nana

Yesterday was my mom's birthday.  I know she has much better memories from birthdays that have come before this one and felt so bad that she spent a majority of her day in pain.  We tried to keep her spirits high by singing to her first thing and by spoiling her with a special dinner and delicious desserts. 

They left first thing this morning to try to make the long drive back to Florida.  She has an appointment with a local doctor on Thursday to follow-up and get yet another opinion.  Praying she can find some comfort and begin healing.  Seeing her in pain is the absolute worst.  Love you, mom, and hope we could at least bring a few smiles on an otherwise not-so-fun day.
