Steak & Potatoes

It won't be long before that's exactly what Talan is eating. The kid is a machine. It is so much FUN to watch him eat and to see how much he enjoys it. Reese was the polar opposite. We didn't start her on rice cereal until 6 months and from there it took at least a month before she would actually swallow a bite without pushing it out with her tongue. She never really liked baby food at all and only picked at things like olives, avocado, artichokes....but never baby food or things that most babies love. The first night of rice cereal we mixed in very little cereal and mostly milk so that it was a watery consistency. We had to shovel it in. We couldn't feed him fast enough! This is in between bites, screaming for more: After a full bowl I had to give him a bottle! Night two we figured "let's just go for it" and made sure it was super thick. He ate like a champ. The only issue was that once again, we couldn't get it in quickly enough for him. He acted like he was starved! Reese had fun helping out. After three days of rice cereal we moved on to our first veggie. I happened to have some baby food that a friend gave me so we tried sweet potatoes. Once again, success! I don't think it would matter what it was to be honest. The kid just likes to eat. Ever wonder if baby food tastes good?: The only downside to all of the fun times new foods bring? The diapers. Holy poop! Sooooo nasty! Sweet potato poo might just be the most disgusting thing I've ever seen and smelled. The dry heaves were in full force!!! Nasty. Thanks, as always, for reading.

  2. lol, they are adorable! My boys both ate way more than Hadleigh. Sawyer didn't like baby food, he wanted the real deal, but he still had a crazy appetite. :) Talan is a doll and is getting so big! Reese is a doll and I love the pictures of her helping you. :)

I can finally comment on your blog!!! I'm so excited!
