Reason #243 why I love my neighborhood? A spur-of-the-moment Cinco de Mayo get together at with our neighbors at the park in our 'hood. It was BYOMF....bring your own Mexican food....so we packed the wagon with blankets, taco essentials, Coronas, and Talan and off we went.
The kids ran off their energy (how do they still have so much after a very long day at school?) and the adults were able to sit and chat. The wind was still pretty bad and it got a little chilly but it was still a great night. So great that we've decided to start meeting Friday happy hour at the park when the weather cooperates. Good neighbors = good friends = good times.
Talan has really gotten into Reese's before and after school routine. He practically hyperventilates when he sees a school bus. If it stops and it isn't Reese's bus (in other words, Reese doesn't get off), he starts screaming. His reaction when her bus pulls up to the stop is too cute to keep to myself. He LOVES his sister.
