BBQ, BBQ, and more BBQ! That about sums up how we've spent our Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday we were excited to have the Heller family over for the first time in what felt like ages. The older girls ran from the swings in the backyard to the sprinkler in the front yard to their bikes. I was dizzy watching it all go down. Needless to say, that had a blast.

I feel bad for not having gotten them (and us!) together sooner but between our two busy households it really is hard to find a spare moment.
Talan & Julia looked like two miniature zombies. They are both still fairly unsteady on their feet. It was a lot of fun watching them together.

I'm a bad mom so
Talan has not only had more than his fair share of cookies but he's now screaming "
cooooookie" when he sees one from a mile away.

However, Heather is a good mom and up until Saturday she hadn't given one to Julia. Check her out! Total cookie coma:

Yesterday it was off to our third BBQ in just as many days. This time it was another neighborhood soiree. It was fairly short-lived. Normally we put
Talan to bed in a pack-n-play so that we can stick around for a while but last night he decided to take the world's biggest poop about an hour into his slumber. Once he was up, he was up...and that was it for us. We had a great time while it lasted and it was probably best that it worked out that way. I didn't realize how dead tired I was until we walked through the front door. So far the summer has gotten off to a fantastic start!
