Wow....where did this week go? We have been going non-stop since Monday. The week got off to an exciting start with Reese's Annie play. Her role was Molly.
It was super cute and would have been even better had their teacher given them the proper cues. The poor kids were so confused because she had them singing their lines out of sync with the music. Hello? Aren't you from my generation? And if so, surely you've seen Annie at least 286 times and know every word to every song. Regardless, it was precious and Reese had a blast.
Two things: love her "cry" at the beginning and thought her nervousness in the beginning was so cute! She forgot her lines but once she conquered those nerves she rocked them.
My parents drove in to see Reese perform and last night they treated my Mom & I to the Broadway production of Billy Elliot. It was amazeballs! I loved every second of it. After seeing the work that went into putting something uberamateur together, I can't imagine how these young kids remember 3 hours of dialogue and dance moves. Truly spectacular.
We got home very late last night, slept a few (short) hours and then it was off to the Kindergarten field trip. We visited Blackberry Farm (which really wasn't a farm at all). My Mom & I both went and had a group of three very well behaved girls so it was a piece of cake.
Tomorrow is my birthday. I asked for a break. I got one. We're off tomorrow morning for an overnight trip downtown. I'm look so forward to a day without a schedule and a nice, quiet night. Thanks to my hubs and my 'rents for making it happen!
Reese has the PERFECT voice for Molly! Sooooo cute! I would have been in tears in the front row, soooo precious! Hope your bday was relaxing and that you slept in this morning and had breakfast in bed. Happy #34!
