Family Fun

Kevin and I spent a majority of Saturday in a training session for a bereavement camp that we'll be volunteering for in October.  Coming off of some very heavy emotions, coupled with an overwhelming urge to hug our kids even tighter, we decided that we'd come home, pick them up, and have an afternoon of family fun.  We went to an indoor fun center and started with cosmic mini-golfing.  I forgot how much I enjoy mini golf.  I had a blast!

Talan took a couple of swings and then decided he'd just march right up and drop in the hold.  He won by a lot.  Are you surprised?

Reese's problem wasn't her swing, it was her level of patience.  The game just wasn't moving quick enough for her and she would have liked to rush her way through the entire course.

Kevin loves a good game of golf.  This isn't the 18 holes he prefers but it was fun nonetheless.

Love the glowing hair.......

Next up was a game of mini-bowling.  It was a mix between ski-ball and bowling and a ton of fun!

Reese looking determined as always.

And even Talan was able to take part and had a blast.  Oh, and no one got hurt.  Bonus.

Next up were the bouncy houses.  Who doesn't love a good bouncy house?  The kids gravitated towards the giant slide and stayed there for most of the time.

We could only resist for so long....like I said, who doesn't like a good bouncy house?

I wish we our budget afforded us the ability to do more of this.  It was so good for us to get out and have a fabulous time as a family.  Summer is so close to being over.  Reese has a cheerleading clinic today and tomorrow and then a dance camp next week on Monday - Wednesday.  Once that is over she'll only have Thursday  through Sunday before school starts.  I have a feeling it will be harder on Talan than anyone else.  As much as the kids drive each other crazy, he absolutely loves having her at home.  It'll definitely be an adjustment.
