Great Times at Great America

 After a long, hard week we were all four in need of some fun.  We found it today!  We left early this morning and drove just over an hour to Six Flags Great America.  So.  Much.  Fun! 

The first stop was for a photo:

In addition to the two photos above, we were totally suckered into paying way too much for the next two:

Don't ask me what, on earth, was happening with my left hand.  Whatever the case may be it makes me laugh....really hard.  And can we just talk about how awesome it is that Reese has already learned to pose for the flash at the end of the ride?  If you can't tell, these pictures were taken on a roller coaster.  It was a mini roller coaster but it was still fast and a lot of fun. 

So we found that Talan is a little thrill seeker.  It must run in the family.  Reese was once again brave enough to get on a roller coaster called "Demon".  It is as scary as it sounds. 

And she went on it twice; once with Kevin and once with me.  Another favorite for both kids was this one:

Can you spot Kevin and Reese?  Talan was napping at the time but when he woke up we rode it four times in a row....enough times to make Kevin feel sick.  No joke.  Here are a few more highlights from our day:

We saved "Roaring River" for the end of the day, knowing we'd get soaked.  We took before and after pictures to show just how wet the ride is.

And like last year, we ended the day on the carousel on our way out of the park. 

We had such an amazing day.  Quite possibly the best day all summer long.
