Feathered hair doesn't mean what it did in the 80's. The latest craze with all of the young'un (and some old folks, too) is feather extensions. They are so popular, in fact, that I drove 45 minutes to get to the nearest salon that had them in stock. It was part of my back-to-school gift to my soon to be 2nd grader. She had a ton to choose from but in the end decided on blue....to match her first day of school outfit. A girl after her mom's heart.
I've had a terrible headache for almost a week now so we haven't done much, outside of a couple of hours at the pool, all week long. This afternoon I felt pretty bad about our lack of fun and packed them up for a trip to get ice cream. We came home to picnic in the yard. Thank goodness we didn't try to eat it inside because Talan was a mess!
Check out his shorts!
I'm pretty sure he had ice cream on 75% of his body and clothing. I decided that the easiest clean up would be to take the hose to him. He stood in the front yard and I hosed him down, fully clothed, head to toe.
Tomorrow is a new day. I'm determined to leave this headache behind so that we can have a good day. Kevin took the day off so that we can enjoy some time as a family. There is no better medicine than that.
