I'm happy to report that we had another great night. I was so nervous because he slept so much all day long. He was sleeping for 4 hours at a time, waking up to eat, and then it was back to sleep again. I just knew it was going to be a crazy one. Around 9pm last night he started to cluster feed. He ate at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 and the last feeding was at 12:30am. Kevin came up to help me out (yes, he worked very late) and ended up putting him down at 12:45. He slept until 4:15!!! I got up and fed him, pumped (ugh), and we were able to put him back to sleep by 5am. The next time I opened my eyes it was 8am. I took that opportunity to take a shower and get dressed and he finally woke up at 8:30 to eat. He stayed up for about an hour and has been asleep since then....only waking up for a brief feeding at 11:00. Homeboy likes his sleep!!!! Good thing because Mama likes her sleep too. I keep telling Kevin that we should not feel this well rested with a newborn in the house.
So far it's been another good day. I think we're going to venture out today to hit Target. I need to set up some changing stations throughout the house. I still can't carry him up and down the stairs so it helps to have stuff in several spots. I'm also in dire need of some clothes. All of you been-there-done-that recently
preggo moms.....when were you able to get back into some of those
pre-pregnancy clothes? I can't remember. I know it's going to take at least 6 weeks for my uterus to shrink back but this is just so frustrating. The pregnancy clothes look big and frumpy and those
pre-
preggo clothes??? Uh, not so much. I tried to get some pants on yesterday that were too big for me before
Talan. I couldn't even pull them up over my thighs. The numbers on the scale didn't look so bad but once the belly goes away you can really see how big everything else got. Bummer. It hasn't even been a week so I have to really keep that in mind. Still frustrating though. It was well worth it. Just look what I got in return for these big thighs, huge rear end, and floppy belly:
How cute is he? (Thank you for the outfit Jessica!):

So sweet:
Here is a picture from the day we came home that I just love!:

Reese looks like she playing the role of BIG SISTER with a lot of pride. Such a great moment you captured here with them!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. He is so sweet. But when are you going to be in the pictures? The canker sore must be gone by now!
