Today has been a great day! We got word early morning that Talan was going to be released from NICU. They brought him up to our room at 8am this morning and he's doing so well. I was able to feed him right away and he ate like a champ. It was such a relief seeing him latch right on. He's only known bottles since birth and it takes some work to transition babies sometimes but he was a pro.
My parents and Reese came by this morning and all three were able to hold him for the first time. It was so fabulous to see him in their arms. Reese was more excited than I've ever seen her before and just so proud to be his big sister. I had been anticipating that moment for months.
I'm doing well today also. The best part of this hospital stay has been the complimentary massages for mothers. The masseuse came by yesterday and again today and gave me a ten minute shoulder & back rub. We are expecting to be discharged tomorrow morning. It'll be so nice to be at home as a complete family. Off to get some rest now. I'll try to update with news and pictures often.
YAY..another blog to read. YIPPEE! He is precious and I am glad he is with you now! Reese looks like such a big girl!
