Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Reese and I had an awesome day today. We went to see The Wizard of Oz. It was her first Broadway show and she absolutely loved it. She saw some of the movie a couple of years ago but it was so long ago that she didn't remember it. That made it fun because she never knew what was coming next throughout the show. It was so much fun to get all dressed up and go into downtown Chicago, just the two of us. The boys had a good day at home too (notice Kevin....still in PJs at 1PM. Love those days!): I am hoping that we have another opportunity to see a show soon. If not, I know for sure that we'll do another girl's day. It felt so good to have some time for just us. It's so important and I have done a really crappy job at giving her the one-on-one time that I know we both need. I don't remember a whole lot about my younger years but I definitely remember the days my Mom set aside for just the two of us. They are some of my very best memories. Last night was a much better night for us. Talan seemed to be back to himself today so we're hoping things are on the up and up! I love a happy baby!

On our way home, Reese and I stopped and bought Talan a Bumbo seat. That thing rules! He's able to sit up in it. Hopefully that means I just bought myself some hands-free time.

Tomorrow it's back to the hectic weekday grind. I'm already counting down to next weekend. I hate it when they fly by. Thanks for reading.
