Today was Reese's last big preschool event. It was a luau picnic on the school grounds and she had a blast. They had bouncy houses, face painting, cotton candy, pizza, ice cream, balloons, etc. There was even a DJ there playing all of her favorite tunes.

At one point the DJ said "this next song isn't really for the preschoolers, it's for the older kids". Reese said "why did he say it was for old kids. Young kids like it too. It's Demi Lovato from Camp Rock". Sure enough, she was right. I wouldn't have known until she said something. I sure am glad I went back to the gym this week. It did me a lot of good since I pigged out on junk food today....I do have to say that the DELISH ice cream bar was worth it.

Reese took in a clown show while we were there also. It was the scariest freaking clown on earth. I seriously can't believe the kids sat through it. The lady sounded like she smoked a carton of cigs on the way to the picnic. She reminded me of Mama, the Fratelli brothers' mom on the Goonies. Creepy!

Look a little closer at the picture. Who has two thumbs and seemed to be enjoying the clown far more than a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds???
THIS GUY!

LOL! Kevin and I could not stop watching this dude. He was having a blast and had perma-grin the entire time. It was awesome.
After the picnic we went to meet sweet Julia Heller. She is darling!!!! So sweet and teeny tiny. When we walked in it was very apparent to us how much Talan has grown in 11 weeks. He weighed a few ounces less than she did at birth but look at what happens over the course of 2 1/2 months!

He looks like a giant!
Here are the two dads; one with the petite little peanut and one with the giant kid who looks like he wants to eat her.

Speaking of that giant kid. He's been a giant pain in the butt lately. Actually, both kids cost us our entire night of sleep last night. Reese had nightmares all night. She woke up screaming and inconsolable several times - once because she swore she had a dog in her nose. Don't ask because I don't know what to tell you. And Talan? If he's not eating or sleeping he is screaming. Since our trip to Tennessee his sleep patterns are back to crap. Three to four hour stretches at the very most. What happened to seven hours? I'm DYING. I feel like a walking zombie today. We finally got to lay down at about 4:30am only to be greeted by Reese less than 2 hours later and that's when our day began. I think I can somehow muster up the strength and energy to make it to the spa party I'm going to tonight. Even in this state it sounds divine. Thanks for reading.
Hilarious! I have tears in my eyes from clown watcher dude. :) So funny, Stacie!
ReplyDeleteRya was the SAME way from 3 to ~5 months. Totally sucked all of the energy & life out of me. It was just dreadful. Try to remember that it's just a phase. ::hug::
