We have all been looking so forward to celebrating Halloween. I love it more as an adult than I ever did as a child. In addition to my Lucy costume I was Tinkerbell at Reese's school party and then decided to get in on the action again yesterday. Kevin and I dug into our costume bin and decided on Little Red Riding Hood & The Big Bad Wolf. Here is the "spooky cheerleader" with her Daddy:

I found the most adorable spider costume on eBay for Talan. He was the cutest little bug ever! I was shocked that he kept the hat on!

Here we are at our neighborhood party:

It's been a tradition in our neighborhood for several families (19 this year) to get together on Halloween. Last year, the Halloween party was the first chance we'd had to meet several of the families that have become close friends. We've looked forward to doing it all over again since then. There were so many people involved this year! 19 families times 2 or 3 kids each made for a big crowd. There had to be at least 40 kids running wild.

Before trick-or-treating, we walk across the street to take a traditional photo of all of the kids. There were so many that I couldn't fit them all into the shot! There were just as many kids as there are in this picture to the right side.

After the photo the kids just take off running from house to house. It's hard to keep up with them! Reese has taken to one of the older girls in the neighborhood, Katie. She trick-or-treated with her last year and was so excited to do it all over again this year. She is such a sweetheart and just so wonderful to Reese.
Such a pretty little lady:
We always walk down the street to the "haunted house". The owners go all out with their decorations and turn their garage into a spooky walk-through. It's pretty amazing. Last year it was all mechanical but this year they had some scary characters interacting with the kids.
It was FREEZING cold and Talan's bedtime is 6pm so we were a little nervous about how the night would unfold. I bundled him up and crossed my fingers. Little man was a trooper! He took a nap and then woke up in a great mood so we were able to make it until after 8pm!!!!

We got home and had to check out all of the loot! Reese went through her candy and then rushed to change into PJs. She was invited to her first sleepover so off she went....

She took off and Talan dug in!

I'm already counting down the days to next year :)
