Monster Mash

We have had an exciting week! Friday was a day that Reese was looking so forward to. She was finally able to debut her Halloween costume for her parade and party at school. It poured down rain all day on Friday. The school parade was supposed to be outdoors but because it was so wet out they moved it inside. All of the parents had to smoosh into the school library - a very small space - to watch. I caught a small glimpse of Reese but that was about all I could see from where we were standing. Fortunately I got to go back to the classroom with them for the party which made up for it. I think they had a good time. I planned some games: pin the nose on the pumpkin, trick or treat (they reached into a cauldron and picked out "tricks" that they had to do to get a treat; i.e. "flap your wings like a bat", "cackle like a witch", etc.), Halloween bingo, and monster masks. Here is a group shot of her class:
When she got home from school I had a spooky treat waiting for her. All in all she had a terrific day....and Halloween wasn't even here yet!
