Sock Her Practice

I finally had the opportunity to join Reese & Kevin for a soccer practice. What a treat! These kids were pure entertainment. While there were a couple of future soccer stars in the mix, most of them were not quite sure what they were doing (Reese included). It was super cute and brought back a lot of memories. I can remember going to T-ball games and watching my brothers pick flowers in the outfield, sitting "crisscross applesauce", midfield, thinking about anything and everything but t-ball. Reese was pretty much the same way. The best was when she played goalie. She leapt with such grace in attempt to block the ball from the net. She was literally skipping across the field. Sorry Kevin, but I'm not sure that we have the next Mia Hamm on our hands. Note: Coach Kev in the background. Had to laugh when he was explaining (on the way home) that she couldn't hold his hand mid-game because the other kids might get jealous

Either way, she had fun and I sure as heck had fun watching her in action. I'll be anxious to hear whether or not she wants to stick with it when the season is over. Stay tuned....
