I am beaming with pride. Today was our Parent-Teacher Conference with Ms. Sheley and I really and truly couldn't be more proud. I'm going to brag for a minute.....I gave birth to a gem. I'm so proud. SO proud. If I could come out of my skin right now I would.
While Kevin & I stood outside of the classroom waiting for our turn to talk to her teacher, we admired the artwork on the wall. There was a project outside that caught my eye. The kids had to collect leaves and make a piece of art out of them. This is Reese's creation:
It's a "Leaf Man"! It sounds crazy to say how proud I am of her leaf man but I really am! I didn't take a picture of the entire wall with the rest of the photos but that's only because they really weren't worthy (did I just say that?). She is so creative.
This IS my blog....so I'm allowed to brag....but I will try to keep it at a minimum. She is doing great. Her teacher had nothing but great things to say. She asked that we encourage more creative writing and suggested letting her make a grocery list. We wasted no time and had her write one up tonight. I wish I could bottle and sell the cuteness in this list she wrote up! I'd be a millionaire:
Thanks (or no thanks) to the conferences, school was out today and again tomorrow. You do what it takes to get through the day. Today, that meant making a music video. Good times!
oh yeah, forgot to say how impressed I am by her leaf man and grocery list. such a good phoneitc speller already! I can totally read her list. she's ahead of the game, way to go!
well, it's obvious who feels VERY comfortable in front of the camera!! She's in her element! Great video editing btw.
