Free 2 B Me

Reese brings home books made in her classroom weekly. Each child contributes a page and they bind them together to share with every family. It has been fun to watch the level of improvement as each week goes by. I'm amazed at how much Reese's handwriting has changed and how much better she is doing with her spelling. She loves to read so I imagine that has something to do with it.

This week the book she brought home was titled "My Favorite Gift". Here is Reese's page in the book:

Spelling and penmanship aside, I was blown away at the amount of detail she used in the sketch she did of her notebook! This is something she did at school. Her notebook was at home so she had to go by memory. Here's the picture she drew next to the actual notebook she's describing:

She went as far as to draw the jewels on the word "free" and to put the splattered paint on "me". I was very impressed.
