I could not be more proud of Reese this week. Her teacher awarded her with "Wolf of the Week" for demonstrating respectful behavior. As a reward, she gets to lead the Pledge of Allegiance during morning announcements on Monday. It's a really big deal to the kids so she is so excited and proud.

Unfortunately she woke up in the middle of the night on Friday with a high fever. It hasn't gotten any better since then and spiked up to over 103 this afternoon. She is also complaining of a stuffy head and sore throat. She's going to miss school tomorrow and has been devastated and broken hearted all day long. I sent a message to her teacher who ended up calling the house tonight to tell her that she could do the pledge on whatever day she comes back. She's also going to have her badge and special wolf stuffed animal waiting at school for her. At least that made her feel a little better. Figures that this would happen. Poor thing.
Talan has been fine until this afternoon when he, too, decided that he'd get in on the fever game. His was much lower but nonetheless he's still not 100%. Neither of the kids have let it put a damper on their time with their uncles. They are in Heaven and soaking up all of the love and attention.

Last night was our big night. The three of us went to the Lady Gaga concert. Beyond amazing!!! We had a blast. I've seen over 100 concerts and this was one of the best. She put on a great show and we had so much fun together.
While we were gone, Reese made them a birthday cake (they'll be 28 on the 15th).
So cute! She wasn't feeling well when she gave it to them this morning but mustered up just enough energy to sing happy birthday. Josh left today and Jeff leaves tomorrow. I wish the kids had been feeling better and that they could have stayed longer but I'm so happy that they were here for even a short time. Happy early birthday Josh & Jeff! I had so much fun with you two that I felt like it was my birthday! Love you.
