Tonight was the night. The students, teachers, and faculty invited us in for a tour of the school. Unfortunately, they didn't split it up into groups or times so the entire student body, plus family members (multiple....we
are in the Midwest), plus
faculty. It made for one big gigantic cluster of chaos. We had fun browsing her classroom and mingling with her classmates.
Afterwords we strolled the halls checking out art projects and various photos and work.

We visited the library so that she could show us how they check out their books and then saw the computer lab. After that it was off to the art room. When we got there it was slammed full of people (holy claustrophobia!). I convinced her to skip it and to come back later (
yay!) and off we went to the music room. That one was pretty quick and easy. The only hook-ups were fun ones. We ran into a bunch of people we knew and got to catch up a bit. We back tracked and did the art room and then rushed over to the gym for our last point on the checklist.
I love visiting her school and love being there to help. I'm really impressed with what she has learned this year and with her beyond amazing teacher. Next week Reese is the class "Superstar". She gets to bring in a poster board presentation with pictures of family, hobbies, her favorite things, and anything and everything else that will help her fellow students to get to know her. I'm chomping at the bit over here!!!!! I can't wait to help her get it started. I'm going to try my hardest to say as little as possible so that it can all be her. But it will be hard. I live for projects like these!
While I'm here blogging, I have to say Congrats to Michelle & Todd who just gave birth to a baby girl this afternoon....named REESE! We are so happy for you and your family. I bet those boys are going to be in heaven with a baby sister around. I pray for a quick recovery so that you can all be together and get started with this bigger and better chapter in your lives.
