And the Verdict Is...

This drive blows! Technology, however, is the bomb diggity. I'm blogging from I-57 thanks to Kev's iPhone. We have been on the road for(ever) 8 hours and still have 140 miles to go. Ohmagosh...Lord help me! Every time we get a half hour behind us someone needs something. If it's Talan and he is hungry we are looking at a 40 minute pit stop on average between feeding, burping, and changing. We get him situated and both kids buckled in and as we are rolling out of whatever nasty gas station we could find in the 5 minutes notice T gives before his "I'm starving to death" meltdown Reese decides that she has to go to the bathroom. As if we hadn't asked her 500 times before we drove off. When we are finally back to it the first 20 minutes are brutal. I buckle in, Tal drops hisl paci. I unbuckle and extend my go-go Gadget arm in order to reach said paci and put it back in. Back in my seat and the second the buckle clicks the paci has once again dropped. Repeat this routine over and over until your arms are sore, your knees are black and blue, and your patience is worn thinner than you thought possible. All the while Reese chimes in with "I'm hungry", "I'm thirsty", "I'm bored", or my personal favorite "how much longer". Our last stop, just 40 short minutes after the one before, was because she had to poop. I knew we could kiss at least another 30 goodbye. She doesn't mess around when it comes to #2. She is all girl with that exception...I will leave it at that (you're welcome). We had a blast on our trip but let's hope this part of it is like having a baby; you forget all about the pain and suffering otherwise you would never have the cojones to do it again. Thanks for reading.
