Our Egg-celent Afternoon

We had such a great day today (even on less than 4 hours of sleep!). First thing this morning we headed over to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Reese had a blast and came away with a basket full of goodies. The sky was clear and the sun was shining but it was still a little chilly, only getting up to around 50 this afternoon. The weather made for a few great pictures! After the egg hunt we headed to downtown Naperville where they had more festivities for the kids. The shops had goodies for the kids so it was like an Easter trick-or-treat adventure. The Easter Bunny was there which made for another great photo op. The next stop was for me. We picked up a new stroller; one that both kids can ride in. It's a double-decker so Reese will sit in the top seat and Talan will take the one below. It's still in the box but I'm sure we'll have pictures soon. I'm excited and sad all at once. Excited because I've been wanting the stroller for a while. Sad because I cannot believe that I'm excited about a stroller. Our last stop was my favorite outdoor mall before we headed home to decorate eggs. Do you like the homemade smock? Kevin gets all the credit for that one. This year I bought a tie-dye egg coloring kit. Reese did a great job and her eggs turned out awesome! I can't wait to try them in the form of an egg salad sandwich tomorrow.

And I've saved the best for last....the Performance of the Day. She did this "routine" over and over again and it was the same every time. She was so proud of herself. And me? Well, I was proud too. Proud that I didn't wet my pants from laughing. I had to have her do it a few times before I filmed it so that I could get through it without laughing and with a steady hand. And now, presenting, Reese Branton as Sharpay from High School Musical:
