If life deals you lemons

Another not-so-great day where the weather is concerned. It started to clear up some this morning but it's been getting progressively worse as the day wears on. It is so foggy out right now that I can't even see the beach from the balcony. Lame. What's not lame is how we spent our sunshine-free day. We got up this morning and I left to pick up coffee & beignets. If you've never had a beignet you are truly missing out. They are little fried doughnuts covered in powdered sugar. Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans is very well known for theirs and before today I'd say they were the best. I now know that David's Sno-balls makes them even better. At least in my opinion! They were delicious!!! The cafe au lait was the icing on the cake. After breakfast and a fairly lazy morning we ventured back out to Pier Park to spend the day with Erica & Mikhala. Nathan had clients in Panama City today and met up with us for lunch. After lunch we headed over to the Mirror Maze. It was actually a lot of fun! I knew Reese would have a blast but I think I may have had more fun than she did!!! Here we are just before going in. You can't tell in the picture but dark in there and lit by black lights. It really is confusing once you get into it. You can't tell what is a walkway and what is a mirror. They have you wear gloves so that they don't end up with a million fingerprints on the glass. You'd be able to tell it was a mirror if that happened. Erica & I walked like zombies with our hands out in front of us to avoid hitting the glass but the girls were a little overzealous. Mikhala thought it would be fun to try to jump through what she thought was a walkway but ended up being a mirror and crashed into it. If you know Erica, you know that homegirl couldn't contain herself. I don't know what was more entertaining, watching Mikhala body slam the mirror or watching Erica bent over in hysterics for the next ten minutes. Erica's laugh is one of my favorite things (said in Oprah's "favorite things" voice). That beach.....so close, yet so far away. Poor kid has been tortured since we got here. All she wants to do is swim! This is motivation to come back for another visit sooner rather than later.
Thanks for reading :)
