Jump For Your Love

After an extremely uneventful morning and early afternoon, we finally decided to pack up and brave the weather yesterday. It wasn't raining but it was dreary and chilly all day long. We all got sick of staring at the walls and the unattainable beach below and had to find something to do. We ended up at Pier Park. Our plan was to check out the mirror maze but when we pulled up something else caught Reese's eye; the bungee trampolines. Let me tell you something about Reese. When it comes to falling down and skinning a knee, the kid is a wimp. She will cry about it like it's the end of the world. And if there is blood? Fugettaboutit. On the other hand, she is super brave in some ways. She loves scary movies. She's into a show called Ghost Trackers. Kids go into haunted houses and search for signs of paranormal activity. The show creeps me out a little but Reese can't get enough of it. She's also really brave when it comes to any kind of ride. It's great that she isn't scared because that lack of fear allowed her to take advantage of this (and for the incredibly low price of $10 for 5 short minutes): The weight requirement is 20 pounds. She isn't much more than that so when she got on to bounce she barely made it back down to touch the trampoline. When the guy running the ride realized that she wasn't scared he had some fun with her. He was grabbing her by the feet and catapulting her up into the air. She was flying up at least 8-10 feet higher than the rest of the kids. Our faces hurt from smiling and laughing at how much fun she was having. It was awesome! We braved the weather long enough to grab coffees and explore a few shops before heading back to the condo. The weather today isn't looking great but we're going to do our best to enjoy it anyway. I'm sure Reese will help us find something to do! Thanks for reading.

  1. The Mirror Maze is really fun (not just for kids)! You should go. And if you do, tell the owners, Jeremy and Wendi, that you know the artist who did the awesome mural (Andy, of course). I can't promise a discount, but you never know!

  2. Hilarious that she has to be pulled back to the trampoline - AND what fun to be thrown back up in the air by the engineer (didn't know what to call him, really). Looks like Reese had a month of celebrating her - just as it should be. what fun!
