Attitude 180

We had such a nice day today. The weather was awesome so we decided to head to downtown Naperville for lunch in the park. The sun was shining and the skies were blue. It was perfect. When we drove through to park it looked like there was some kind of event happening because it was packed full of people. Everyone was so excited to be able to come out of winter hibernation. We stopped for sandwiches and then ate them in the little amphitheater. Reese was so excited to spot a couple of wedding parties. She got to see two beautiful brides. In one group the bridesmaids were wearing hot pink gowns. She was in heaven. She ran (and jumped) out plenty of energy. Everything has been pretty great in our household these past couple of days. I think she really feels bad about how she acted. She hasn't even asked for anything back yet. Kevin ended up taking away Pink & Blanket (Pink is her "lovie" and Blanket is just that....a blanket. I know what you're thinking. We're super duper creative, right?!) in the midst of all of the craziness the other day. We've been trying to talk her into giving up Pink for a while now and originally thought we'd do it on her 5th birthday but that didn't happen. She is so attached to it! It was really hard for us to picture her without it being that she's slept with it since she was a baby. It's very sad. Anyway, because she had both of them taken away she has had to sleep without them for two nights now. We're thinking that we may just pack them away for good. We'll see how that plan plays out. I'm not feeling very inspired to write right now. Instead, I am inspired to paint. I got a wild hair today and decided that our living room was ready for a much needed makeover. We got all of the way home from our afternoon in town only to turn right around and go back for paint. I just decided randomly that I was ready to get to it. So I am sure we'll be up until midnight working on it. I'll leave you with another photo from today: And one of my stroller. LOVES!
