Frank You Very Much

I'm going to backtrack a bit being that I updated with our road trip home before writing about the last couple of days of our vacation. After leaving Panama City we headed back to Niceville for a night before driving to Franklin, TN. We woke up to bright blue skies with not a cloud in sight.....go figure. We pulled into town on Friday afternoon and crashed pretty hard. After a short rest it was time to rally. Jen Duke and Nicki & Jim Monroe all came over Friday evening for a delicious dinner compliments of my parents (btw, their house is amazing!). Kevin & I went with the three of them for a quick drink before calling it a night.

Thankfully it was beautiful on Saturday so we took full advantage of the sunshine. After a lazy morning we drove into downtown Franklin and walked around exploring the shops. We had poboys at a seafood restaurant, did a little more sightseeing, and finally made our way back to the house late that afternoon in time for a quick trip to the park.

Our trip was really short but I'm glad we decided to stop for an extra day before making the trip home. It was brutal as it is. I can't imagine how bad it would have been had we tried to do the two 8 hour drives one after another again. No thank you very much. Reese has her 5-year doctor's appointment today so I'm sure there will be an update with her stats at some point today. Until then......
