Afterwards we walked the river and hung out downtown for a bit. Today was one of those days that make me so grateful to live where we live. I really do love it here.
I didn't have a camera today so I missed out on quite a few photo-ops (thank you iPhone). The girls took turns performing in the little amphitheater on the riverwalk. They even drew in a crowd for a while. Very cute. We left pretty abruptly when Reese had a meltdown (surprise!). We're really trying to stand strong when she loses her cool. One chance and one chance only. It actually worked out that we left because the day flew from there. We did our grocery shopping and had just enough time to put it all away, prep dinner, prep lunches, get everything in order for school, feed & bathe Talan, put him down, bathe Reese, eat dinner, and at the end of it all it was already 8pm.
I have to say, I am looking forward to the week. I love Reese but I'm a little excited to put her on that bus tomorrow morning. I'm ready to get back into some kind of routine. Tomorrow it's back to the gym. I hope I can remember how to get there. It's been a while. I huff and puff walking up the stairs so I'm dreading those first few weeks. Brutal is the understatement of the decade. This cooler weather has me scared. No more hiding in my all-you-can-eat sundresses. I have 25 pairs of jeans that I can't fit into (yes people, I have issues....I'm addicted to denim). That is some serious motivation right there. Wish me luck! Here's to a great week. It will be if I can come out of it a couple of pounds lighter!!! Thanks for reading.
