This Is How Wii Do It

Uncle Josh made a quick appearance this past weekend. He flew in from DC with his two friends, Tracy & Eric, to see a soccer game; DC United played Chicago Fire. They rolled in late on Friday night and I took them to their hotel on Saturday morning so when I say it was quick I am not exaggerating. We had a really great time with them. On Friday night I made a big dinner and then afterwards Reese was very excited to show off her Wii skills. They are some mad skills people. If you've never watched anyone on a Wii you are missing out. It is SO funny! Here she is hula hooping: We were laughing so hard! Hilarious. Josh, Tracy, and Eric were kind enough to buy Kevin and I tickets to the game so we got a babysitter on Saturday night and met them there. I didn't really know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. They were such a FUN crowd! It was a group of 40 all part of a fan club. They loaned us DC United shirts and by the end we were cheering and chanting along with them. We live in Chicago but we haven't jumped on the Fire bandwagon so we were happy to support Josh's team. Plus, the Chicago fans were so lame! Made it easy to root for the other team. Well, it made it easy for me. Kevin was a bit conflicted: So awesome to be there with Josh: This is a picture of the the DC United group after a goal. Fun!: Good times! Now it's time for another busy school week. I'm actually looking forward to it and Reese is too. She had an awesome first week. Her teacher ended up calling me on Friday to talk about how things were going. She said that Reese is the most advanced reader in her class and that she is often using her good behavior as an example for the rest of the students. She said that she is very eager to learn and loves writing, coloring, and reading. All in all she's doing great! We are really proud of her. Now if only we could get her to behave that well at home....fat chance. Speaking of Reese, one more photo to share. Here she is just before she left for a birthday party on Saturday afternoon. Cuteness!
