Sdrawkcab

You're wondering about that title aren't ya? Well, what does it spell when you reverse the order of the letters? Backwards. Yes folks, backwards....cause that's how we do up in here. School is going great for Reese but we're having an issue in the mornings. She is up and at 'em far too early. She was full dressed, in our room, and tapping on Kevin's forehead this morning at 6:15am. As if the tapping in itself isn't torture enough....really? 6:15? Rather than facing the struggle that most do which is having too little time we have far too much lately. She is dressed, fed, lunch packed and ready to walk out the door with an hour to spare each morning. And what to do with that hour besides annoy the living daylights out of Mom, Dad and baby brother? I have mentioned before that I am not a morning person to begin with. Add to it a hyperactive, bored out of her mind, singing, dancing, bouncing off the walls 5-year-old to the mix and it's just not a whole lot of fun. All of the espresso in the universe couldn't wake me up enough to enjoy that before 9am. Here she is this morning (an hour before it was time to go): Today I ran errands and while I was out I bought her an alarm clock. This alarm will obviously not be used to wake her up. Instead, we're going to set it and she is not allowed to come and wake us up until it goes off. We're going to shoot for 7am tomorrow. Please, oh please, let this work! I'm pooped. Plain and simple. Talan is at the 29 week mark as of today. He'll be 7 months old next week. Guess who still refuses to sit up on his own? How did you know?!?!? He's getting better as you'll see in the photos below but he is still just not really into doing anything unless it's while attached to my hip. This afternoon I made it to the gym (yay for me!) and about 40 minutes into my workout they had to come and get me. The gal said "Talan's not having it anymore". What she really meant was "we're not having Talan anymore". I guess he had been screaming for quite a while before she came to get me. When I got there he had snot pouring out of his nose and his face was speckled with red dots from getting all worked up. He is not making "operation get skinny" an easy one. Damn it. Good thing he is cute. I forgive him for the backaches, the stiff neck, and for ripping me away from Stairmastering my thighs off today.
